Dragnet: Space Division is a 30-minute futuristic parody of the classic Golden Age radio series. Set in the Proxima Centauri system, Josephine “Jo” Friday and her partner android Nex Delta must solve the senseless homicide of a sentient vending machine. Their investigation takes them from the crime scene at the seedy “Afterburner Lounge” to the hallowed halls of the Frank Poole Space Academy and ends up in tunnels beneath the launchpad of an abandoned spaceport. Think Blade Runner meets Cry Baby Killer. (NOTE: Dragnet: Space Division will be produced and performed January 30, 2027 in Kalamazoo, MI, by All Ears Theatre under a nonexclusive license.
