Bequest
“It searched the galaxy... and it chose us.”
Embedded Files
Bequest is a taut 15-minute science-fiction suspense drama in the tradition of The Twilight Zone. At a remote desert military outpost, an Army colonel tasked with securing a mysterious alien arrival treats it as a threat to be contained, brushing aside a scientist’s pleas to study and understand it. As protocol overrides curiosity and time runs short, the play reveals the danger of acting before knowing—and the cost of dismissing the very insight that might save them. Think Contact meets The Day the Earth Stood Still meets Arrival first contact paranoia.
